Products:
Global Organic Specialty Source is first and foremost a wholesale distributor of organic produce across the Southeastern U.S.A. We have coolers stocked with hundreds of fresh items that are chosen for their taste, appearance, and overall quality. Our products include a wide range of fruits and vegetables from both local sources and throughout the USA and, at times, from other countries outside of the USA. We sell our products to retail stores (large and small) and to cooperatives and buying clubs that enable typical consumers of organics to buy their product in bulk in order to save on cost. We also carry salad dressings, dried mushrooms, juices, labels for organic produce, and twist ties.
Services:
We offer additional services to the community. We represent a number of small farms and act as a Grower's Agent in order to insure that they are able to successfully sell the yield from their fields when it is fresh and at its best. Farms with organic certification interested in learning more about this can contact our Purchasing Department.
We also have excellent training for you and your staff. Our Merchandising department will make a scheduled visit to your store to help you with displays that will maximize your sales, share tips on how to best maintain the freshness and quality of your products, as well as general information about how to reduce shrink and encourage customers to try new products. Please contact our Sales Department to schedule a visit.
We also can provide back-hauls to the Tampa Bay/Sarasota area. For more information, please contact our Transportation Department.
If you have a group of people who would like to form a Buying Club, buying bulk amounts of produce together, contact our Sales Department for resources to help you set up the right procedures for success.
Other Services include sponsorships or gifts-in-kind for not-for-profits, with preference given to local agencies serving related issues such as hunger, sustainable farming, organics, nutrition/education, and agencies supporting people with disabilities. It is best to call in the late summer or early Fall to insure that your event is approved and included in the following budget year.
We have opportunities for tours and have speakers available for your community events, free of charge.
