There is a certain photograph that I always seem to come across when spending an afternoon sorting through the numerous boxes full of loose pictures that permanently live under the guest bed. It is straight out of the eighties and I love it! I am decked out in my frilliest white and pink Easter garb complete with “bonnet” (I always got new Easter clothes and sun hats) plus a fantastic bowl cut, and my mom, sporting a fresh perm, is wearing a teal blue and black striped dress (dare I say frock?) and dark eye makeup reminiscent of the popular fashion models of that time.
